Phoropter
The Phoropter is a portable device that allows users to refine and validate prescriptions through precise lens adjustments for both distance and near vision. The goal was to reimagine vision testing as a more flexible and approachable experience that could extend beyond conventional exam rooms.
This work centered on simplifying a complex optical system into a clear, user-friendly interface through rapid prototyping and design refinement. One of the main challenges was organizing multiple adjustments into an intuitive interaction while maintaining precision and minimizing cognitive load for both patient and practitioner.
